Surrounding the controversy of Indian cricketer, Harbhajan Singh’s ban is huge hue and cry made by fans and press all over the world. Fans in India too have an opinion of their own. They claim that monkey are respected in India and are given god-like status. Despite all the support Harbhajan still claims to never have called Andrew Symonds a monkey. So the BIG question is, what did he call him, after all ? Watching the tape over and over again and having it examined has infact reviled that Singh never called Symonds a monkey and thus the ban has been lifted off the Indian spinner. However it is still unclear as to what Harbhajan actually spoke. Remote speculations and the crowd at MCG argue that Harbhajan did in fact lightly abuse Symonds in Hindi in the heat of the moment which sounded like “monkey” and thus misinterpreted.
