Social Networking websites like Orkut and Facebook are totally a waste of time now. Apart from usefully stuff like posting photographs you can share and birthday reminders, they whole scrapping and logging on everyday is a total waste of time. Not only that, its boring! Facebook users outside India may beg to differ and I agree with you. When you have a close knit network, it maybe fun to keep talking or goofing around on facebook. Indians on the other hand, I feel, somehow give a very jobless and bored impression. Orkut is either flooded with spam or totally pointless cheesy scraps. Since the ‘Scrap All’ script has come(and html support in scrapbooks), this situation has become particularly annoying. Orkut also copied facebook and introduced ‘feeds’ that shows updates from your friends profile. Needless to say, 9 out 10 are ‘last name changed’ updates. So-and-so changed his or her name from mY PrINCE CHarMInG to **snOW WHiTE GuRl**. Its really stupid because you have a hard time finding who they actually are.
I think SoNets(Social Netwroking) should be used as a companion and not cumpulsion, as is the case with half the Indians. Logging in every 2 hours to see if anyone ‘scrapped’! I last logged in 2 days ago and all I had on my scrapbook were 4 identical junk scraps containing huge flash font and links to javascraipt(oh yea! like it will ACTUALLY tell me who i have a crush on!)
Facebook has nothing but re-hall-ee annoying application requests flooded. Guys, thanks for the ignore all button but you seriosuly goto do soemhting about these applications.. its out of control!
Honestly havta say dat “logging in aftr every 2 hrs to chck if anyone scraped” is true….n ya its disappointin to c dose junk scraps………yet loggin into orkut has sort of becum lik loggin into ur email id to chck mails or so…….
