Ideas for Modern Living : Innocence

Modern Living has enveloped us all in everyday life. From being woken up by a snooze alarm clock, the toast popping up from the toaster till the time your iPod puts you back to sleep. Its the good life. However it has also brought along its overheads that makes us almost dependent to modern lifestyle and its bells and whistles. From the core of values, perhaps the one thing missing is Innocence.
Innocence is missing at home, in corporate offices, in politics and every walk of life. Lack of this innocence encompasses lying for benefit, shrewdness to the point of obscenity and pretend living till the time we don’t realize who we have become and lose our identity. Its pushing young kinds into bad habits and the adults just have become accustomed to this. Everyone today is a cut-throat bitch. So while we may have the technology and advancement in science to keeping us update to date with our prescription – I am questioning the very need for this entire cycle.
Innocence is something we are born with, but get rudely taken away from us as we grow up. To say the truth, to smile genuinely, to being in love ; this the innocence we have lost. Lets get back to basics. Lets appreciate the little things in life. Start small, start with honesty and notice the change in you and the way you look at life.
