Its that time of the year, where you go to sleep with the same clothes you were in all day so you dont waste time in the morning. Its that time of the year when you are able to do the above if you have time to sleep. The work just piles up on you in heaps with absolute disregard for other commitments and affairs. TV shows, movies all lie crumpled up in the corners of your hard-drive and facebook has a last login of over a week. Its tough times, like the winters in the frozen lands. You gather up all the resources and prepare for the cold jittery times. The flick of a flame and the warmth of a friendly hug are then felt like a heartbeat to the dead ..

The Linux version of World of Goo is finally ready for download! It’s available exclusively from our site, in three different packages depending on what your computer likes. (tar.gz, deb, rpm)
If you already got the game from our site, you can use your same download link to get the linux version in addition to your Windows and Mac versions. A huge thanks to Maks Verver for getting this running on linux, and the beta testers for making sure it runs smoothly! The full game and demo versions all available here.
Update: Yes, still DRM free! And works on 64 bit systems too.
Yippe ! The best game of 2008 is finally available for GNU/Linux. This is an awesome step for all game designers and game developers, urging them to develop games for the linux platform. There are plenty of games out there for linux platform, but there is no way they can match up with the windows counterparts. Hope to see this change soon. Thank you guys (2dBoy)!

In competition with Asus EEE PC, HP released their Mobile internet (Mi) edition of notebook the HP Mini 1000 Mi Edition. Apart from being a really cool laptop the best thing about it is the OS. Its a slick media/internet centric OS with a shiny slick black interface. To being with it presents you three column with mail, internet and photos. It also has office tools like OpenOffice and allows you do do all these things on the go. Oh and the OS is based on Ubuntu Linux! Yep its a revamped edition of Ubuntu Linux called HP MIE (Mobile Internet Experience). This OS is being called the best thing that could happen to Ubuntu and GNU/Linux.

Since the time i have come to college i have little update my blog. In fact i made only one post on New Years eve. Not that there has not been much happening, there has been a LOT happening on the contrary, i have simply been lazy. However guys out here have started their blog.
So I have been thinking, may its time i also started updating bits and pieces of my college life, after all these are the best days of your life. To begin with let me tell you what i have been doing over the past few months. I am doing Game Design (4years) from DSK Supinfogame (part of DSK International Institute of Industrial Design, Gaming and Animation) which is a brand new school in Pune. Some of the great stuff we do here is game research, game analysis, making games (yeah baby!). I have made a board game with team partner Rohonak. Right now i am working on a mini video game (using C# and XNA). I have also been spending extensive time working and discovering Linux(Ubuntu) I use it as my primary operating system-so expect lot posts on that. I am infact typing my blog post using Drivel.
So there you go, my first update in a long time. Hope to be posting more often.

Happy New Year to all readers 
Its been a long hiatus for this blog, last post written was in July. Reasons for the hiatus will be covered in subsequent blog posts.
Its been a great year, with wonderful events. To mention a few – my college, my new friends, ubuntu linux. This New Year’s Eve was again as unique (thanks xbz) as last time with the exception of my friends ! For now, i am only posting pics, updates later
Joggin on the highway
At
9 PM I decided to have food at my hostel. The three guys who were at the hostel during the vacations had made plans to go to the city. Me being a lazy guy decided to spend New Years :-
New Years Eve Plan : 1. Oder Pizza and Friends 2. Sit online watch what the word is doing 3. Two minute silence for the mumbai victims
. I called up dominos who refused to devliver so far one one order. I got up, thinking (not thinking actually) I’ll go the nearest ATM and get some money. Since i had recetly given up my bike, i had to jog. There was no ATM for 3 K.m – jo i ended up jogging close to 4 K.m (the milestone marking on the highway helped calculate the distance) Finally one failed ATM later – I finally managed to get money on the 4th attempt at the second ATM.

This was the only palce where i could smell some good chicken, so like a wolf i sniffed my way there. Bought Chicken wings and Hakka Noodles and a
can of fosters. Jogged my way back part-way , a auto-rickshaw guy dropped me half way through. Snuck my way back to my room at 11PM and turned on FRIENDS Season 7. F-Spot was silently uploading the above pics to Picasa in the meanwhile
